Freepers: still talking about armed revolution

From the post by Anonymike, which is maonly a long exerpt from a far-right blog:

The only way to save our country is with a massive revolution against both the Dem and Rep parties. They need to be replaced with an absolute minimalist and moderate federal government, returning the maximum possible governance to the states. This would be best facilitated by several new mid-sized parties, replacing the existing big two, so that Americans are far better represented in aggregate at the federal level. Most other problems should then take care of themselves, especially if terms for all political offices are limited to a very small number, like one, so any campaign contributions allowed will mean nothing after the election.

Among the responses:

Oh its coming. Some of us are just stocking up on ammo and supplies.
It wont last long though. Liberals dont like guns remember.
by Old Texan

I had been thinking that Obama would try to grab guns and that this would be the flashpoint that would get things rolling. Now I think that this is incorrect.
I see the polls. I see the Town Halls. I see the crazy language in the healthcare bill.

No truly representative government would pass this monstrosity. If it DOES pass, then it is clear that our government is lost. They are not representing us, they don't care about us, and they have no concerns about the next election cycle. Your vote means nothing to them.

At that point, I think there is no reason not to go Henry Bowman.

whats the first target?
at what or whom does the revolution direct its energy?
this is not 1775-america is vast and complex.
the next american revolution cannot be fought the way the original one was.
how does a well motivated, well armed, yet loosely organized and largely leaderless movement take action against a monolithic leviathan like this government?

5. LOL
and Rush Limbaugh skated for a boil on his ass.

Or was that Cheney?

There's a joke in there connecting those two names and the boil and the ass but I'm too tired.

2. Nothing to worry about.
These blowhards won't start any war unless they can get somebody else to do the actual fighting.

8. Well, they're correct there
The side with the Air Force always wins. And last time I checked, the Freepers didn't have one of them. But if they really think their small arms are holding off the us army for more than five minutes...

4. I had to Google the Henry Bowman reference. Loony:
Unintended Consequences - by John Ross

The novel's protagonist, Henry Bowman, shows an early proficiency with firearms, practicing whenever he can find the time. Encouraged by his father, he gathers an impressive firearms collection and gains extensive experience in piloting small aircraft. During college, Bowman is robbed, beaten, and sexually assaulted by a rural gang. The incident has a profound effect on his life and causes him to become an alcoholic for a period.

While at a gun show in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, with friend Allen Kane, Bowman publicly embarrasses an agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), Wilson Blair. One of Blair's men was trying to trick and entrap a fellow firearms dealer. Blair takes the offense personally, and with the support of the BATFE's director, begins to plan revenge. Several years later, Blair and subordinate agents of the BATFE plan to frame Henry and his friends as terrorists, smugglers, and counterfeiters. They plan to plant "evidence" when the men are away on vacation. Unbeknownst to Blair, Bowman delays his departure and is on a friends' property when the agents arrive. Bowman assumes the men are burglars and engages in a gun battle with them, killing all but Blair before he discovers the truth.

Bowman realizes that his life has been irrevocably changed. He makes Blair record a video taped confession of his illegal actions, then kills Blair and disposes of all forensic evidence of the agents' presence. Afterwards, he hunts down and kills Blair's remaining subordinates. Bowman and his closest friends begin to systematically kill BATFE agents around the nation, whom Bowman views as supporting the infringement of citizen's constitutional rights, and abusing government powers. Simultaneously Bowman releases the video tape of Blair to CNN, which claims that Blair and his companions have had a change of heart, realize what they are doing is wrong, and are now dedicated to killing other BATFE agents. Amidst the national search for Blair and company, Bowman continues to rack up the body count. (novel)

9. The Republicans probably hope some gun owners will...
do something really stupid so that the Democrats will pass draconian gun legislation.

That way they can still have votes from gun owners, but they will have achieved their real objective. There's no way you can convince me that Republicans who support the big corporations and the wealthiest people in this country want the average person to have the right to own firearms.

After all, average people are the modern serfs of the new and improved feudal society. The serfs shouldn't own weapons, only the knights should. (Knights = feudal mafia. Lords and the castle = international corporations.)

11. They believe its right to use the bullet box over the ballot box because they lost...
some fucking democracy they are promoting. Our founding fathers are making loud thuds each time they suggest armed insurrection. I had one freeper suggest thats what the 2nd Amendment was for to remove a government they didn't like. This guy is an army officer too, when I gave him the disbelief look he realized what he said and tried to correct it.
