4. Watching it in slo mo from the BBC

it is most likely a reflected bit of light from some sort of moving mirror (which might be a silver plane or whatever), you can see the "object" take the form of buildings in the back ground.

You can recreate this by using an old mirrored disco ball and shine a light at it. Watch the reflections of that light on the walls of the room as the ball spins, especially if there are pipes or cabinets on those walls. Looks exactly (to me) the same as this event.

have pretty much been shown to be optical illusions. They are caused by insects captured via video camera.

Regular camera video shows a "rod" while high speed slowed down shows a moth. It was well done, and amazingly enough, shown on "Monsterquest" which usually accepts only whacko stuff.

The BBC shot to me looks like a blur of an insect up close or a bird farther away.
