I'm a liberal Democrat. That means I don't agree with all that President Obama has done and there are things I'd like to see happen that he hasn't gotten around to---yet. And, I am less than enthusiastic about several of the folks on our side of the aisle. I'd have hoped they'd have passed card check and a public option health care reform bill by now and be knee-deep in an aggressive investigation of the Bush regime's crimes.

But, we can sort out Blue Dogs and Yellow Dogs later. Right now, Democrats---of all kinds, natures and descriptions---are under attack by extreme right-wing operatives. These for-hire thugs have been given virtual playbooks of tried-and-true methods of recruiting the ignorant and disaffected, the frightened and dispossessed to the cause of opposing ANYTHING proposed by this dark-skinned President and his "liberal, socialist, blame-America-first" Democratic friends.

That's us, folks. If we're Democrats---and I sure as hell am---they're talking about us. When they shout down our Senators and Congressmen, they're dissing all of us. When they physically assault US Congressmen, hang them in effigy and suggest they should commit suicide, those are our Dogs---Blue, Yellow or Rainbow---that they're kicking around.

It's time to pull together. Its time to out-organize, out-maneuver and, when necessary, out-shout these fascist bastards. We're pretty good at getting in the face of our opponents. Let's not forget to let our fellow Democrats know: "We've got your back".

Not out of any strong desire to put them off until later, but because if the rightwing terrorists aren't dealt with first, there won't BE a later for healthcare to worry about.
