Prediction:
By end of day RW'ers will be complaining about the journalists being freed and saying Clinton gave away nuclear secrets (or said something giving them more leeway on the issue of nuclear arms, etc) to the North Koreans and then bringing up how he gave away satellite secrets to the Chinese.

They will find any reason to not take something as good because they hate Obama that much (and to be fair some on the left hated bush that much too).

Headlines on blogs we might see (add your own):
"Clinton brings home journalists, but at what cost?"
"Bill can't give up the spotlight, Hillary said to be upset - why didn't she go to NK?"
"North Korea trades secrets for our spies"

Etc and so on...

1. Yeah, I can hear them now: "At least bush got mangos for nuclear technology"
Some of us DUers are old enough to remember the old spy swaps in East Germany. (Even remember EAST Germany)

4. If everyone believes that the leader thrives on attention, has anyone tried

good attention over bad attention before Obama. I hope they can continue good attention.

If you are a leader of N. Korea and your people are all controlled by you, it can get boring.

We should acknowledge that if we convince the entire world to intall a solid wall of embargoes, and your near neighbors fear or hate you, and you don't have anyone to talk to except the leader of Libya - would you just retire to your studio or game room?

To bring peace, make peace.

But if the corporate-military-banking-lobbyist-politician industry thrives on war, what are they going to do? They will keep on pretending, huffing, puffing, and making everyone hate and fear N. Korea, for their profit.

Take a look at who sold them nuclear tech and supplies - Khan, Cheney and their industry.

Make war on a country then secretly sell them the stuff to sustain a reason to make war on them?

Who is playing whom for the fools.

Goal - make peace with as manhy countries as possible. Expose the war industry. DU headlines in the past few days - our major industry is now manufacturing weapons.

Axis of evil - all contrived in the think tank tankers in partnership with war mongering lobbyists.
