Will somebody in South Carolina kindly tell Jim DeMint to sit the hell down and fut the shuck up..
1) "Allowing" insurance companies to "compete nation-wide" is just Republican corporatist code for a race to the bottom - whatever state will offer the least regulation will be the new home of the "nation-wide" insurance companies - just like we have now with Delaware and credit cards.

2) Your ability to confuse "freedom" with "greed" is either mind blowingly vast or you are deliberately obtuse about the facts. Most people don't pay $5000 a year in taxes so your tax credit is useless. Worse yet even if someone actually gets that credit, it won't be enough to cover their family's medical bills.

3) We already have a system where health care is rationed and someone gets between you and your doctor - they are called the insurance companies and we have no say in what they do and they do it for the obscene profits of a few.

I for one would much rather have that power in the hands of government employees who are responsible to we the people as opposed to it being in the hands of a few wealthy members of a corporate board somewhere who could give a damn whether I live or die.

4) The government does many things very well including insurance - we have a national flood insurance program, and where I live the State of Florida has become one of the largest insurers of people's homes because of insurance company flight after the 2004 hurricane season.

5) Profit is not equivalent to virtue. You need to stop worshipping mammon (money).

Jesus never sang the praises of "profit" in his sermon on the mount. Virtues are things like "compassion", "equality", "justice", and "dignity". Jesus never told anyone he couldn't help them because they were "out of plan".

Frankly I'm tired of hearing from you Jim, so sit down and shut up already...

4. Blue Cross hired tiny, fairy hookers who live in their pants.
If either displease their masters, the teeth come out.

Of course, there's the money too.

5. Excuse me!
I have been telling DeMint to sit down and STFU since he was a Congressman. He is a C-Streeter along with Sanford. They share an eff the government ideology.

I have come to the conclusion that there is a line of succession for people to become the head of this idiot movement. Sanford was in front, but he went hiking. Now DeMint has picked up the banner. I have no doubt that if he should become undesirable as a spokesperson, someone is already lined up. They will make some noticeable remark along the lines of DeMint's "Waterloo" statement. Then they will lead the way.

One of his backers is Howard Rich. He has been trying to take over the state by making political contributions through many shells.

There are so many unseen hands in this mess that I'm sure we don't know one tenth of what is going on. SC is obviously a fertile breeding ground for these trolls. However, they aren't just in this state.

7. Preaching to the choir
I tell him that on a daily basis. You can too though, dont be shy! :P

His twitter is @JimDemint and his website is at http://demint.senate.gov/public/ where you can also leave comments.

Having met and seen his brand of "Politics" in person its unlikely anyone can spark any kind of change. But IMO we should all lead a charge to let him know just how much he is "Appreciated" (gag).
