Hardball talking to two democrats. One of them said it straight: "Look, there are people who just can't deal with the fact that some black guy is running the country".

That is what this is about and everyone knows it.

The republicans weren't able to cope with Bill Clinton living in The White House and running the country. They thought he was "white trash". They called him every name in the book, made up crazy stories, and even accused Mrs. Clinton of murdering Vince Foster.

These "birthers" are the same people. The idea of an African-American running the country is as upside down to them as the Sun rising in the west and setting in the east. For these people, the forces of nature have been turned inside out and they can't cope. But as much as we want to call them loons and wackos, Bill Maher was right in saying that some of these people are dangerous. And I actually think that republicans in office are acting as enablers to unstable people and endangering the life of the president. They should be spoken to by the Secret Service.
