Another Tweety thread: what is his problem with the health care bill
including payment for counselling on end of life issues for people who are young but terminally ill? Why would he think you need to be 65 to order to get help in making a living will, etc? He's losing it over the details of the bill, but the details are what make a bill work.
1. I've had a living will since I was in my '40's.
I'm still here, and I'm certainly not in my '40's anymore. The point of a living will is to make it very clear that if you're brain dead (or in any other hopeless condition, at whatever age) you give your permission to pull the plug. It has nothing to do with age. I watched Matthews tonight horrified. He came absurdly close to making the case for those who think that a living will provision is proof that health care reform is working toward euthanasia for the elderly. Ridiculous.
