Don Imus' new show format?... Soul Food Cooking Show
Edited on Mon Apr-09-07 07:47 PM by SoCalDem

Imus CANNOT change the "format" of his show.. HE ..IS..the show..

He's 66 years old, and I hear his "family calling him".. I think they want him to "spend more time with them"

buh-byee Slime-Us ..YOU are the weakest link..

PS.. Lock your cronies up in the bunkhouse at "the ranch"...put 'em to work scrubbing up with that fantastic Imus Ranch™ Non-toxic Wonder Cleaner

All that Imus Ranch™ merchandise should start showing up at your local Dollar Store soon.. (no more 3 hour free infomercial 5 days a week)

1. What, specifically, is the problem you have with merchandise that helps kids with cancer?
Whether you like the guy or not (and I don't, particularly), that ranch and that merchandise helps kids who have cancer.

Real nice for you to wish those kids to not get than help anymore.

5. I have NO problem with the products.. It's his self-serving
FREE advertising 5 days a week, and the way he makes his guests advertise on the air with him..

8. So, do you have a problem if Paul Newman advertises his camp for kids during interviews?

10. Paul Newman does not have a daily radio-tv show. and when he's interviewed
his products are usually asked about by the interviewer.

Imus' good works are NOT the issue..HE and his repeated slurs ARE the issue.

He is PAID by a major network to put on a show. He has to follow rules like anyone else. He is stuck in a "wild & crazy shock-jock" mentality that was "over" more than a decade ago..

He just stayed too long, and no matter how hard he tries to be "with-it, cool, whatever" he's a wannabee old guy.

11. So why are ANY of those statement ANY reason he should not promote a charitable activity?
Edited on Mon Apr-09-07 08:12 PM by Redstone
There's no connection there. I simply cannot understand why you're indignant about someone raising money to help kids who have cancer, notwithstanding any other issue surrounding that guy.

I just find it odd that you should be harping so much on this one issue.

12. It's about his "show".. It's an INFOMERCIAL for HIS project
(which is a worthy cause), but his "show" is nothing but a bunch of juvenile ole farts sitting around dissing people, inbetween commercials for Imus' salad dressing, or salsa or coffee or whatever.

It's the ABSURDITY of the whole "show".

It's just the New jersey Branch of the Good Ole Boys Club...and apparently they forget every now and then that they are NOT "just hanging out "..there ARE cameras & microphones.

13. So don't fucking LISTEN to it, if you dislike it so much. What, you're a masochist?
Just shut the fucking radio OFF! How hard is that?
