Of course I hate all his views, but I hate even more that I have to be subjected to them 7 days a week almost around the clock on MSNBC.

He's there at the beginning of the day and he's there at the end of the day and he's also there most of the hours in between.

Does he sleep on a little cot in the MSNBC Green Room? Does he eat out of the vending machines? Does he ever wash his clothes or does he just rely on Febreze?

At what point do we call a Senior abuse helpline?

3. Perhaps it's a labor of love
I wouldn't be surprised to find that Pat pays MSNBC for extra on-air time so he can vent all the bigotry residing in his spleen.

5. I think he just won't leave.. He just pops up on everyone's show because
he doesn't leave the building. Wandering around like a crazy old coot.. They just let him ramble and call him Crazy Uncle Pat.. which does more to discredit the crap he says than anything else. He's dated and they just treat him like your crazy Aunt Mildred who wanders around in PJ's all day long singing old show toons.

7. That's my thought, too. Maybe he just wanders onto the sets
And rather than having him physically removed, they let him rant. He needs to go home and retire gracefully - oh wait, it is too late for that!

12. You could be right about that!
I was thinking he was probably the highest paid pundit on MSNBC because he shows up all times of the day and spews his venom. Could be that they just can't get rid of him

9. I'm amazed he can blame Darwin for Hitler and MSNBC
says nothing about it. He doesn't even make KO worst person list. The same week he appeared at a white supremacy meeting. Pat is Teflon on that Network

19. The TV is not your home, frankly.
I really don't mean this to sound condescending. I do advocate for dropping media outlets whose owners are actively working against your interests.

There is an undeniable appeal to watching televised news. Personally, I limit my TV news to certain real-time coverage, which they are less able to spin. Otherwise, I don't see these talking heads except by clips in other contexts.

You must decide whether whatever good you see in MSNBC outweighs enough of their evil to keep depending on them. If not, I will heartily congratulate you for giving them up.

18. Pitchfork Pat Is Ratings Gold...
Let's assume that MSNBC is the most popular network among Democrats...and especially here at DU. I admit it's really the only news channel I will watch these days. It's a voice of reason with Keith, Rachel, Ed and David Shuster. But it's also the home for some right wing douchnozzles that help stir the pot. In many ways, having a Buchanan out there shines a light on the dark side...the side many of us don't see on the other networks, but need to be seen if we're to debunk or expose it.

You can almost hear the ratings soar when DU explodes with posts about what this right wing shitstain or that one said. Honestly, I think a network that didn't offer a look at the other side would be boring.
