If only Walter had danced the "moon walk" instead of reporting the
details he would have been much more of an icon...

So. Walter. The voice of two or three maybe four generations. A man who reported from London while Nazi bombs were falling. The man who literally turned America's opinion against the Vietnam War. The man who so eloquently and without personal bombast described to the world the space program from Mercury to Apollo 11. The most trusted man in America who helped a country through the assassinations of JFK, MLK and RFK. The

The man who always ended his broadcast with that's the way it is...

He will be remembered but not in a crass way in a dignified way, the manner in which he led his life. He was Pinko Cronkite to Archie Bunker. He was a steady voice for America. He help me understand..,
