I Have A Recommendation On Recommend And Unrecommend

Right now, unless somebody speaks up recommenders and unrecommenders remain anonymous.

On blogs where you can up rate and down rate, you usually can see who has done what. It becomes obvious if patterns develop.

So I recommend DUers have the ability to see who recommends and unrecommends threads.

There was a famous case where a group of posters were banned for voting in a poll, not realizing their votes could be identified. Can the Admins and mods see who is recing and unrecing?

...how about IP addys along with usernames?

That would make the mob activities more then obvious when 12 unrecs trace directly back to the same DLC call center.

at least at it's inception. I figure I'm dealing with an "axe to grind" individual. Sadly, this new feature will encourage a pattern of revenge and counter-revenge, if the process remains anonymous.

unrec them. Others, consistently post ideas I agree with, and I consistently would rec them.

It has nothing to do with revenge. Only differences in what one believes is important, good policy, etc.
