More advertising for Burger King that creeps me out
This guy bothers me. It's basically a Jason from Halloween mask, but with a beard & crown on

I don't know if this is a parody.

I don't know if this is supposed to make me think of one of those creepy blow up dolls

But sexism (or sexploitation) in BK commercials is not without some history.

and they're no strangers to images with multiple level of questionable allusions
I mean, ew.

In an effort to appear trendy and edgy you can easily blur the line between "obscure" and "obscene". When you're #2, you have to try harder, a car rental firm once advertised. The same principle would apply to the burger joint market as well. The point is, in the long run, this "seven incher" ad of theirs will probably move sales.

Creeped out as I am, I gotta say that burger looks good, no matter what my brain tells me I need to watch out for, diet wise.

3. You realize - you're publicizing these ads the way BK intended and increasing their audience? n/t

4. With all the vegans on DU? Surely we're not the target audience.
Anyway, I think it's fair game for discussion. I think it helps to understand how their exploitive strategy is designed to work. Certainly my post helped you to realize this, as your critique makes clear.
