8. I see a mandate in our future

Everyone must buy their product or sign on for the government plan, which I assure you will be complicated, underfunded and cover nothing (don't want anything that will hurt "competition, you know). At the end of the day "reform" actually ends up funneling even more money into the insurance industry from all directions. But everyone is "covered". So problem solved. That was the problem right? Coverage? I truly hope I am wrong. But I'm not.

Not only a mandate,but taxes on benefits provided by employers, as well.

If, as the President insists, health care costs are the biggest threat to the economy, then single payer is the only logical answer to the problem. Anything else is going to bankrupt the country. If you believe what he says (and I do), then it would appear that we are heading for economic disaster. Wonder how he's going to reconcile all of this.
