5. Yeah, when it's not being used by bored, narcissistic college kids
detailing every millisecond of their banal existences, it is a very useful and effective application.

11. right on
I have gained respect for it. I have gotten so much more information from twiters than all the MSM. Now - warning, we are getting raw intelligence not edited by the MSM or the CIA. But seriously - remember the flaws of raw intel - don't become the Iraq Study Group seeking out the intel that prooves your point- but look for consistent patterns in what you are getting.

6. Notice how they all sound much more dignified than Chuck Grassley?
Even in their 2nd (3rd? 5th?) language, they at least communicate clearly with real words, and without petulance.

7. God save them. I wish I could. This is horrendous. They have started
something the government can't stop. Their parents are going to be hard to placate or scare after this.

8. I saw Karoubi on BBC yesterday - - a lot of it is rumor

it also doesn't make sense that someone who was "in prison" yesterday would be able to twitter today.

10. The student twittering never claimed to be in prison/arrested
Unless I missed one of his entries, the univ student who is tweeting these entries never said that he (the twittering student) was in prison/arrested yesterday.
There were rumors that Karoubi was under house arrest, but then it was denied at some point. It's not Karoubi who is twittering these entries.

12. Thank you for posting and keeping vigil.
These messengers are immediate victims of the coup in Iran.

I want them to know that Americans care about what happens to them.

13. These twitterers are playing a dangerous game.
I hope they can find a form of communication a little safer from government spying.

15. God bless the Iranian People
Courageous and brave people.

Risking their lives to gain freedoms and rights we Americans will now gladly sacrifice, possibly simply because we have taken our rights for granted for so long, we cannot see they may NO LONGER EVEN BE THERE WHEN WE NEED THEM.

I am saddened by all the death and fear there right now.

supposed to be 2 of the most reliable people. Change_for_Iran had apparently disappeared for a while. Glad he's back.
