2. "They make it sound as though Stalin himself is going to put on the rubber glove for your proctology
exam." - the "socialized medicine" crowd.

Maher is right on: if not now, when?

3. Bill is dead on.
As he was on Real Time last friday. This is the time to ramrod real progressive legislation through. This is not the time to pussyfoot around. Fuck what the Republicans think, they're never going to agree with anything we need anyway.

4. Bill is great!
I don't always agree with him, but I admire that he puts it all out there. Not as easy as it seems!

9. Who hates Maher?
Perhaps those who have a problem with his outspoken disregard of religion?

12. It's the same group on both sides.
There's nothing more annoying than people shoving religious views at you, be they pro or con. Both sides on the loudest ends of the spectrum have the same problem.

13. Bill Maher is still an asshole, even if he is right sometimes.
His fetishizing of pieces of shit like PJ O'Rourke isn't exactly appealing.

challenges. I know we hate the banks, but not so easy correcting the problem, without helping the bad guys. We are getting regulations introduced this week. If Maher were paying attention, he'd know that.

Meanwhile, we do have the opportunity to have health care reconciliation in House and Senate.

Wish Bill were less broad stroke.

10. Bill seems to have completely shed his Libertarian leanings.
I think he has become one of us smelly social Democrats looking for social justice.

11. Just watched Real Time rerun
Maher's rant on Obama was terrific.
We voted for change and we still believe, but Obama has to get tough and quick.
If health care goes down, it will be a huge loss of momentum.
Screw the opposition. Maher got that right - Bush was a moron but he didn't give a shit about pissing his opponents off.
Obama goes out of his way to not piss off the right, but they're out to get him anyway!
