It's very hard to get to their web site. I kept getting a message that there was too much traffic to connect, so I listed their products for ou.

They haven't said which ones have been recalled or if it's all of them. Supposed to release that info later.

2. I know the FDA actually made the announcement that was on CNN.

Beyond that, I have no idea. Apparently this recall is also related to wheat gluten from China.

10. Why hasn't there been an IMMEDIATE embargo on imports from China

such as the wheat gluten? and any other products that are poisoning pets and possibly humans?

13. Wheat gluten from the source company in China IS being held at

the border, by orders of the FDA. Other wheat gluten from China and Netherlands is being subjected to testing for Melamine.

3. I saw this earlier and did get on their site...

I have fed those jerky treats to my dogs in the past. Jesus. I am off to look up "How To Make Your Own Dogs Treats". I am now feeding my animals a BARF (raw) diet with supplements and it is working out great for the last three weeks. They absolutely love it and it is not hard once you get the hang of it. They do give me funny looks when I put a ton of meat on the counter at the grocery store though!!

WASHINGTON — The recall of pet foods and treats contaminated with an industrial chemical expanded today to include dog biscuits made by an Alabama company.

The Food and Drug Administration said Sunshine Mills Inc. is recalling dog biscuits made with imported Chinese wheat gluten. Testing has revealed the wheat gluten, a protein source, was contaminated with melamine, used to make plastics and other industrial products.

Also Thursday, Menu Foods, a major manufacturer of brand- and private-label wet pet foods expanded its original recall to include a broader range of dates, the FDA said. Menu Foods was the first of at least six companies to recall pet foods and treats made with the contaminated ingredient.
