It's all about Failin this time. Once again we have let the RWingnuts and
their stooges in the media control the agenda. It happens every damn time.

3. What is there to say?
We've read and discussed all that's been made public. With the news blackout that's in effect, for all practical purposes, what is left to say?

I think the Palin thing is a welcome and very funny diversion. A good laugh break is vital for continuing mental health .............

5. I asked my husband tonight if thought Letterman had been paid to do that joke
To give Failin an excuse to get back in front of the cameras. I was only partway joking. Usually I spend most of the day with cable news on in the background. Today, I spent half the day switching away from Failin and Poppy. I'm watching Antiques Roadshow right now instead of Rachel Maddow since she started with Failin and the next time I turned back, there was Poppy.

7. It's that 'we' word again ...
Who is 'we' ?

Are you saying that EVERY DUer is talking about something less important than what YOU feel is more important ?

How did you determine the numerical facts that drove you to this conclusion ?

Random samples ? ....

A complete evaluation of ALL posts from ALL DUers within a specific time frame ? ....

Cmon .....

These kinds of statements are absurd nonsense ...

9. Consider the media's alternatives
Sourfaced, sick-minded, demented wrinkly old men with nothing but angry hate dialog or.............

Ditzy-faced, empty-minded, demented made-up middle-aged woman with nothing but comic nonsense dialog.

In the media, at least, the murderous old Nazis didn't stand a chance.

11. If you don't like a news story that DU is talking about,
Just a wait a few days for it to cycle out of the news, and everybody will be preoccupied by something new.

She's going to be the Right's designated "bad headline" changer! And the media will follow the script. Bushco did a lot of headline changing with terror alerts, Saddam, etc.

Upon watching some of the Matt Lauer interview this evening I also sensed that she was trying to make Letterman out to be an "inciter of bad behavior" in general just as people have been pointing the finger at right wing media (O'Reilly) for inciting violence.
