...but I do believe that most or even all racists are "Birthers."

From day one, there's been a nasty undercurrent of fear and xenophobia simmering just below these ludicrous claims that, all evidence to the contrary, Obama is somehow not really an American--or at least, not until he presents paperwork of his birth that will meet their cuckoo criteria. Sometimes they'll slip up and say that there's just something foreign or "alien" about our president, and there's plenty of talk of "pure American blood lines" that sounds reminiscent of Goebbels; after all, they've actually presented the theory that there are different levels of American-ness, that only someone with two parents BORN IN THIS COUNTRY is actually a true natural born citizen. (Remember when one of them dubbed the long-dead presidency of Chester A. Arthur invalid because one of his parents was--gasp--born in Canada?)

Combine that with constant representations of Obama as a usurper, or a fraud, or even a dictator who seized the White House in a bloodless coup (I know, I know, the irony is staggering), and their impassioned descriptions of America turning into a totalitarian society, or worse, KENYA--get it?--and yes, you can see how this movement would totally be a White Supremacist's cup of tea.

and in my opinion, the entire "idiot bush pulled off the biggest false flag attack in the history of the world and got away with it but fucked up everything else" crowd are misguided as well.
