9. Aye...it has to be able to be read in 5 seconds or less
Edited on Tue Jun-09-09 06:11 PM by 1955doubledie
if you want people whizzing by to be able to tell what your message is.

Perhaps it could read:

-----
Mr. President--

Yes we CAN start from scratch!

Support Single Payer Health Coverage
H.R. 676!
-----

(Even that version is rather wordy.)

7. Actually he said, "We're not starting from scratch"
“If I were starting a system from scratch, then I think that the idea of moving towards a single-payer system could very well make sense,” the president responded.

However, Obama then laid out his opposition to single-payer, stating, “The only problem is that we’re not starting from scratch. We have historically a tradition of employer-based health care. And although there are a lot of people who are not satisfied with their health care, the truth is, is that the vast majority of people currently get health care from their employers and you’ve got this system that’s already in place.”

8. Obama was being a little dishonest with that "scratch" comment.
America does NOT have to "start from scratch".
The US has two (2) Single Payer Health Care Systems up and running.
No need to "start from scratch".

Maybe Obama doesn't know about Medicare?

12. Even if he doesn't, he should know about the VA system
Considering his great uncle and late grandfather were both WWII vets.
