Join the Fight to Stop Bank Bullies

Be part of A New Way Forward's nationwide movement to enforce antitrust laws

A New Way Forward, a citizen action group created to pressure large national banks to play fair, will hold a series of events nationwide on June 10. In addition to teach-ins, protests and rallies, the group will screen its Economic Crisis 2009 video.

A New Way Forward formed in April of 2008 as a "pact we're making as citizens to not continue to let Wall Street act like our masters. The point is winning the battle with the banks can change politics as usual."

If you have questions or are seeking more info, visit A New Way Forward's website.

National Economic Crisis Video Screenings & Forums

The bailouts are widening the gap between the rich and poor. Our government has spent trillions of our dollars to prop up a banking system that has failed the country. Wall St. needs to be stopped. We demand that our government break up the insolvent banks and never again let them get so big that they distort our politics and corrupt the economy.

During the week of June 8th, Americans will host national video screenings and town hall forums to learn about the crisis and begin working on restoring our economy and democracy.

Obama's election proved that the American people are "too big to fail". Now, we need to work for the structural change that we can truly believe in - DOWNLOAD THE ANWF-EXCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL VIDEO on the economic crisis and get your event started.

HOST YOUR EVENT

To get us on the right track, we advocate for structural change to the financial sector so that it serves the public and enhances our democracy. Sign up to a New Way Forward to get updates and share your ideas.

Since, in the recent past, Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz has advocated the same measures as this organization lists, I hope he will sign up as a "counselor" as well, and really show the legitimacy of their agenda. What a terrific plan for saving our economy from the bottom up!

2. ANWF also has a very enlightening video to download on the banking/economic crisis.
It requires Quick Time, and downloads rather slowly. The first part, even though they go slowly, is hard to keep straight in your head since the situation involved many steps, but even if you can't remember the whole thing exactly, you learn quite a bit.

It's the last 2/3s that really opens your eyes as Stiglitz and a UK economist both say that if we want anything other than misery, we must, through gov't regulations and seizure of control, change the direction of the major banking decisions for at least a while.

It is 33 min. long and available to download here: http://anewwayforward.org/doit.php
