She just suggests she's able to learn from him -- and while he's a bastard, he's an interesting bastard who served with Nixon, Ford, and Reagan. That bit about "inspir|ing| passionate opinions" is very -- how shall I put it? -- diplomatic, but then Buchanan is her colleague at MSNBC, and Rachel Maddow is friendly with Buchanan as well, while obviously rejecting his foul views.

That said, Witt doesn't do a lot for me; she's a pretty much a potted plant.
