A Story about Dr. Tiller
I just wanted to share a story about Dr. Tiller. He helped my cousin in his wife during the worst time that a couple could ever have. My cousin's wife was pregnant only to find out that their son was anacephalic, meaning that he would be basically be stillborn. The only thing that was keeping him alive was his mother in utero. Because it was so far in the pregnancy they had to travel from Wisconsin to his clinic in Kansas, because they were so heartbroken by this news. My cousin was so impressed and grateful with the treatment that they got from Dr. Tiller. He took the time to sit with them and discuss everything with Them, and my cousin who didn't agree with everything that he was about came away with supreme respect for this man that helped them in their time of need. When I spoke to him about what happened he was very upset by it. What most people don't know is that a lot of his practice was dedicated to helping people like them, not what the nut jobs said. Rest in Peace Dr. Tiller, the world is a little bit worse off without you.

1. I heard a similar story -- it's important for people to know
That late term abortions are not done on a whim, but are generally done out of medical necessity in terribly tragic circumstances.

2. This. This is what's really true.
And that lets me know where my RTL friends stand: they'd rather the mother die or suffer harm for a baby that's either already dead or won't make it long after birth. They'd rather the baby suffer. They'd rather have these horrible circumstances happen over and over again just because they think God doesn't work through doctors.

3. Yes he didn't do it because he "enjoyed" it
He did it to help people who are hurting terribly. My cousin's wife couldn't get out of bed anymore, they had to do something. This was the hardest choice they ever made and it haunts them to this day.
