MSNBC turns pro-choice into 'abortion backer'
MSNBC turns pro-choice into 'abortion backer'

People who support women's right to choose are really just the abortion lobby --or so an MSNBC headline would have you believe.

In a particularly fatuous faux-pas, the network chopped up a Washington Post headline, leaving out the key word "rights" (the original headline was "Abortion Rights Backers Get Reassurances on Nominee.") MSNBC turned it into "Abortion backers get reassurances on nominee."

Maybe it's just me, but I don't know any abortion backers. But for what it's worth, as an editor, I know of the temptation to shorten headlines to get them to fit. But I'll be damned if I turn pro-choice advocates into abortion lobbyists.

1. I 'm not so sure why this is such a big deal still..
I know its a big deal for the woman involved in an unwanted pregnancy, but this is nothing new. $10.00 at least one of those women bobbling their heads all day long have had an abortion... $100.00 more says that most politician's children who become knocked up have an abortion.

3. The big deal is how this is typical, not-so-subtle slight-of-hand on the part of M$M
Agenda setters, they be.

21. my shock is that abortion is treated so pro-life like.. The judgement for abortions
is older than I am. I'm disgusted by the headline.. and also remarking how hypocritical it is for so many in the media and the pukes to rail against abortion... I guess I should have made it more obvious.. I'm tired of the argument. If they really wanted to reduce abortion numbers, then they would focus on family planning and real health education instead of "just say no" like they do to everything.

8. Your lack of awareness is a big deal. Maybe some reading would help. Maybe less arrogance.
"$10.00 at least one of those women bobbling their heads all day long have had an abortion... "

16. Oh, that "Liberal" M$M and their double-secret probation strategies!
Apparently, using Bushiganda terminology and catapulting the Bushiganda at nearly every turn (with the exception of a few hours each evening on a single channel, when the "token liberals" are shown...and even THEY took six years of 100% Bushiganda before they materialized) is the way to advance the liberal agenda.

 :puke:
