1. Hell yeah. I hope they sit-in, and start a flood of a movement.

4. Exactly. I suggested something like that to someone from MassEquality who is now in CA.
I told her, that if gay people wanted equal rights, they may have to start marching into Town Halls and demand marriage licenses, refusing to leave, until they are seen on television being clubbed over the head and sprayed with firehoses.

10. There are no grounds to do so
This is within the state of California, as to what it's constitution says, decided by the highest court in that state. There is also no Federal issue, as the last piece of Federal legislation regarding marriage equality was the DOMA signed by Bill Clinton.

I sure haven't heard President Obama, or any of the Democratic leadership in Congress calling for the repeal of DOMA, either. At this point, the official Federal policy on the subject of equal marriage is that states have the right to enact it, or prohibit it, and other states do not have to recognize it from the states that do permit it. Further, the Federal Government will not recognize it for tax, immigration, or entitlement purposes.

It's pretty hard for the 9th Circuit to work with so very little.

6. The ruling also claims that "marriage rights" have not been revoked...

only the use of the term marriage. There should be a legal argument that gays and lesbians still have the right to obtain licenses. Domestic partnership agreements are NOT the same thing.
