Finally watching W. OMG. If the film is only 5% accurate...
This idiot monster was our PRESIDENT for 8 years? Surrounded by the cast of idiot clowns?

This would be a comedy if it wasn't such an international tragedy.

3. It's fiction, so don't get suckered -
it's also lousy. I regret the time I spent watching it.

Japan Times: W. the Movie Too Sycophantic? Try Family of Secrets Instead!

Japan Times today ran a review of “W.”, the Oliver Stone movie, and gave it 3 out of 5 stars for being too mild and not revealing enough. The reviewer, Giovanni Fazio, concludes by urging readers to follow the movie up with Russ’s very own Family of Secrets:

Much of the film appears to be based on books by Ron Suskind, Bob Woodward, Ronald Kessler, Scott McClellan and others, and that is the film’s weakest point: All this stuff has been discussed endlessly over the past few years, and “W.” contains no surprises. Viewers seeking the vast rightwing conspiracy of “JFK” — not to mention its groundbreaking stylistic construction — will be disappointed. “Family of Secrets,” by reporter Russ Baker, should satisfy that urge, with a boatload of wild allegations that come tantalizingly close to being proven.

There were too many punches pulled in this one. I knew Stone was headed for the dark side when I saw his 911
film. He spent two hours avoiding saying anything significant in that film. W could have been a knockout blow
for the dreadful Bush crew. But it wandered off in some useless directions.

Nevertheless, it's fascinating to watch. What a monster we had as president.

Here's a great one for you:

9. Yes, it portrays Bush in a realistic light
But he was still accountable as Commander in Chief, he was not the Jerry Lewis of the Martin/Lewis
comedy team. Much of this fiasco derives from his desire to best his father on Iraq and having a 2 term presidency.
