Fundies: PEPSI is officially Gay

from the American Family Association, which is fast becoming a comedy outlet:

PepsiCo a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce

Call PepsiCo's Board of Directors Concern Line at 1-866-626-0633

May 20, 2009

PepsiCo is a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). The NGLCC is an organization that promotes the homosexual agenda including homosexual marriage.

Other companies -- including Ford, McDonald's and Wal-Mart -- withdrew their membership from NGLCC after being asked to do so by AFA.

AFA has asked PepsiCo to be neutral in the culture war, including homosexual marriage, but the company has consistently refused to do so.

• PepsiCo requires its employees to attend diversity training classes promoting the acceptance of homosexuality.
• PepsiCo financially supports "gay pride parades" in cities across America.
• PepsiCo gave $1,000,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). HRC gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in an effort to legalize homosexual marriage in California.
• PepsiCo uses its TV commercials to promote the homosexual lifestyle.

Take Action!
• Call PepsiCo's Board of Directors Concern Line at 1-866-626-0633 and tell the board of directors that you are boycotting PepsiCo and asking others to do the same.
Sign the Boycott Pepsi Pledge. After signing the pledge, please call Pepsi (914-253-2000 or 1-800-433-2652) and tell the company you will boycott its products until it stops promoting the homosexual agenda.
• Call the Pepsi bottler nearest you and ask it to stop supporting the homosexual agenda.
• Pepsi’s products include Pepsi soft drinks, Frito-Lay chips and snacks (800-352-4477), Quaker Oats (800-367-6287), Tropicana (800-237-7799) and Gatorade (800-884-2867).
• Print the Boycott Pepsi Pledge and distribute it.
• Forward this e-mail to your friends and family so they will know about Pepsi's support of the homosexual agenda. Millions of people are not aware of Pepsi's support of homosexual organizations.

Is there such a thing as an anti-boycott? Just bought a case of Pepsi products today.

Had I known this, I would have bought two.

8. Have you tried Diet Mountain Dew? If one must drink diet drinks,
this is one of the better ones.

17. No. I've avoided it fearing it will taste completely awful.
It's not so bad?

Diet A&W root beer is tolerable, too.

The trick is to drink them cold.

22. Yes, but the protestors will be objecting to PepsiCo supporting Gay Rights
Although some of the causes listed are Human Rights groups.

Gay Rights, Women's Rights, Minority Rights, they are all the same - Human Rights!

29. Yes, Gay Rights is the lightning rod here
But truthfully, they would just as soon get rid of all Human Rights. Will mention Gay Rights in particular.

11. While you're at it, ask them stop making Pepsi with high-fructose corn syrup
Not just temporarily like with this "Pepsi Throwback" campaign, mind you - sugar yesterday, sugar today, and sugar forever.

20. I'll be dialing tomorrow and thanking them for not giving in to fundie bigotry!
I've given up soft drinks, but in my day I probably drank enough diet Pepsi to cushion them against YEARS of boycotts. ;)

3. After all, "PEPSI" is an anagram for "PIPES"
And "pipe" is a euphemism for that wiggly bit that's so upsetting to fundies. Imagine their consternation at knowing how many people in God's nation are sucking down "PIPES" every day.

7. Aw, man...
• PepsiCo uses its TV commercials to promote the homosexual lifestyle.

Which commercials? Why didn't they give us YouTube links? At work we sell Pepsi and Coke products. I generally try to push the Pepsi. My own contribution to the homosexual agenda. (Hey, I've been married to Paul for 22 years. It's hard to convert enough straights to get a toaster when you gotta drag your better half with you.)

Edited on Thu May-21-09 09:34 PM by Sebastian Doyle

I'll keep buying them. But I'm not drinking high fructose corn poison, no matter how many fundies it pisses off.

31. Picked up a case of each.
Didn't want to buy more than that and enable myself to start drinking it all the time again like I used to. Even with real sugar, it ain't exactly health food. But I did just happen to grab a Pepsi from the fridge right now.

Doesn't mean I won't buy more eventually though. I figure it will be around at least another month. They'd be fools not to keep it around all summer, regardless of what the earlier reports said about "only two months".
