the honorific of the former title - "that's what YOU say, Mr Vice President"

and when refering to the person you modify the title "that what the former vice president said".

5. I have never in my life seen a television station interview

the son or daughter of a politician for her/his interpretation of his/her speech. That was beyond vulgar and absolutely unprofessional.
