You know, the one that Rush Limbaugh doesn't represent at all?

I've never seen that one -- I've only seen the Republican Party where every elected official kisses Rush's ass and would never risk alienating him or his audience, as to do so would be the kiss of death in THAT Republican Party. You know, the one her son is in? That one he was pandering to by picking Sarah effin' Palin? THAT Republican Party is a party of MEGADITTO-HEADS!

2. RIGHT? The one that has been gone for 50 years?
It wasn't ALWAYS a bigoted, pro-torture, warmongering, corrupt mafia but that's what it is now. THAT'S what she's a part of now.

Wake up Mrs. McCain....you too Meghan!

4. The GOP used to be just a simple pro-business party and
was isolationist and interested in promoting US industry and didn't go for meddling everywhere. It used to be the unsegregated party of the North. It even had a progressive branch at one time with Teddy Roosevelt. It was also for small government and practiced what it preached. Coolidge, Hoover and Ike were all unassuming honest men who were not from privileged origins. This party was hijacked by Goldwater and Reagan and then by the neocons. It has long vanished from the scene.

their country. My parents were Republicans. My dad died in 1972 and my mother in 1977. I think my mom was getting bad vibes from the Nixon administration and started second guessing her allegiance before she died. I know they would have considered the subsequent Republican administrations to be un American and frankly stupid. I, myself, emerged from college as a bleeding heart liberal. I didn't follow their political beliefs. I do know that they wouldn't have recognized their party as it is today. I think Mrs. McCain belonged to the same party my parents did, not the one her son prostituted himself before.
