So I go to the movies to get away from reality, and I see an ad for a Glenn Beck show.

Right before the previews. Totally and completely offensive.

Anyone else see what I am talking about? It was at a Regal.

1. I saw that too - supposedly Glenn Beck is doing a live broadcast comedy routine?!?
Somebody is out of their fucking minds. Glenn Beck doing a standup routine? That guy is about as funny as burning kittens.

To me the ad felt like a sick joke. I almost want to go to see what kind of dipshits would actually go to watch a Glenn Beck "comedy" show.

What's the punchline, "kill all socialists"?

2. I think I would vomit.
I really hate being held captive before the movie starts by those commercials. I make it a point never

to patronize any of the places or products advertised this way.

3. Regal is a Republican outfit - I refuse to go to their over-priced cinemas.
I saw all kinds of Republican ads years back and complained about it, but the flunky "manager" just shrugged and said "They put on what they want!"

We have a very nice, old and quaint theater that gets the movies about a month after they hit the $8+ theaters. They charge $2 per person and for $4 you get a HUGE fucking bag of popcorn with a free refill! The five of us have never even finished one bag of it. $14 for five people isn't bad!

4. Beck is EVERYWHERE. We have "Fox Gremlins" at my gym
The last thing I want to think about is politics while I am working out, especially as filtered through Beck, Hannity, etc.

We have a few guys who turn all the sets in the lockeroom to Fox just to make sure we get a good dose of "Reality".

Beck was doing another expose of the all powerful ACORN!!!!

I turned everything back to ESPN. Who needs the stress?

6. TVs in a freakin' locker room?
We're that *wired* that we can't go a few minutes (longer with shower...) without TV? After a good workout the last thing I'd want to see is Glenn Beck's doughy mug (not that I'd want to see it any other time, either).

Signed,
A Fellow Channel-changer

7. What did you expect?
You wanted to get away from reality, and Beck is about as far from reality as one can get.
