OK so the jokes were written for him but he's got a great sense of timing and the right mix of self-effacing humor and in-your-face attack.

Just another thing to like about post-Bush America.

6. A lot better than the Pretzeldunce

As in just about everything else, President Obama is a lot better at humor than the Pretzeldunce ever was or could ever hope to be. Like just about everything else in life, Pretzeldunce's attempts at humor was a LIAF CIPE.

smirking like a prideful sixth grader who memorized his zinger line in the school talent show

I remember when it used to be amusing to make fun of monkeyboy, but he's ruined things so extensively, that it's no fun anymore

Obama's winning presence (the dem Reagan?), his seemingly authentic, ingratiating smile go a long way to make us forget, momentarily the shitrain with which he's been left to deal

9. I was also thinking about Bush's appearances at WHCD.. Painful

but the pain for me was watching him mock his treasonous behavior. I think you described his delivery perfectly. Of course I'm sure seeing Obama tonight was painful for the 26%ers.
