I see these people on TV referred to by their first names, and I say, "Where do they get these people that are famous for nothing in particular?".

I'm just not hip. :shrug:

5. At the commune, bathing was what we did in the evenings instead of watch TV.

I never know the names of people on People (etc.) magazine.

I don't know if they sing poorly, act poorly or just go to rehab.

8. My 6 year old son has a "worm farm" sitting on our kitchen table does that make him a hippie?

I would have never made a worm farm in a million years. It has been an interesting learning experience for us. It does not smell at all and the night crawlers are incredibly healthy. We used a half gallon cookie dough bucket with a tight lid and tiny holes in the top that are too small for fruit flies. The worms seem to keep eating any mold or stuff immediately as it starts to get "bad".

The bedding is shredded newspaper and we slowly add small pieces of carrot, lettuce and newspaper but only at a pace they can keep up with. The newspaper does a great job in regulating moisture.

Does that make him or us hippies?
