You've gotta be "blanking" kidding me!? "The Dennis Miller Radio Show"?

Is AM radio really that desperate?

Actually, this is probably a good way to shine the lights on the rats who run AM radio. If this show begins showing up on 600 radio stations, we'll know for a fact what we've suspected all along. That the corporate radio owners don't give a crap about talent, but are really just an arm of the RNC.

It's got to be hard to make smacking a monkey funny on the radio.

Might be a time for the "Calling all Wing-nuts" folks to take some action.

2. The reason there are so many Right-wing AM radio jocks is
simple....

Lefties, like us, are simply too busy durring the day to listen to that crap...

We also demand more from our entertainment than simply repeating the same crap over and over, day after day, week after week, and year after year....

Besides, there is a finite audience out there and one of them will go down when another one springs up...

9. I suspect they pay for the opportunity to be on the radio
instead of actually having to be responsible for bringing IN cash ...

3. Lamebawl is getting stale and losing sheep
Savage Wiener is getting repetitive, Beck gags even right wing maggots, they're desperate for a new voice to spread the hate.

Hey, Miller got famous being funny, right? Hey, he came over to the side of the rich and smug, didn't he? It's perfect!

All we the people can do is keep our eyes and ears open. When the station's license comes up for renewal, our job is to organize a letter writing campaign via the net (and Craig's list in your town is the best place to do it) and tell them exactly how we feel about OUR airwaves being used to push anti American propaganda 24/7/365.

It might do some good once this current crop of rabid ideologues, religious nuts and yes men are out of office. A reasonably decent administrator at the FCC from either party would have to look at the record of complaints.

8. That's the first I've heard of this
where I can have a say when licenses come up for renewal.

I'll check Craig's list.

We had suffered through decades of two major radio stations in Norfolk, VA. One, of course, had Boortz, Limbaugh, Hannity, O'reily and Savage. The other "balanced" that with, Tammy "I'm a Democrat, but I love everything the neo-cons are doing" Bruce, Laura Ingraham, some wing-nut called "The Black Avenger" and the resident, local, cookie-cutter wing-nut host.

Finally, one of the stations began running Ed Schultz. I'm not a big Ed fan, but he was an option opposite Hannity that I could listen to. Shortly after he started, the radio station he appeared on was "converted" to Fox Sports.

Did I mention that the program director for WNIS 790 and WTAR 850 in Norfolk, VA are THE SAME GUY?

This issue is extremely important to me. I've watched by two brothers cross to the dark-side, due in large part, to listening to 15 hours of Limbaugh each day. They have fortunately wised up since then, and voted Democratic in the last Ohio election.

Were it not for the oversatuaration of right-wing hate radio, or if there were actually balanced shows to repeatedly point out the lies and half-truths spewed 24/7 on these shows, there would probably be close to 300 Democrats in the House and the Democratic Party would also enjoy a "fillibuster proof" majority in the Senate. That's how important this issue is.

We need to fight propaganda in every form.

4. Debuted last Monday. First guest:
"One of the sharpest political minds", David Horowitz!

That was all I could take.

He replaced a couple of hours of Stephanie Miller's show.

When will Charlie Daniels be on?

6. Funny how these hacks keep getting new shows, even when the free market fires them.
I mean, if these people truly thought the market was the best arbiter of taste, then they'd put someone in that spot who can get ratings. If I didn't know better, I'd say the people creating these shows are putting the message before profits. But that *can't* be true!

:sarcasm:

7. Miller's Latest Downward Trek To Palookavaville...Cha Cha
There's a glut of right wing radio asshats these days. Miller's biggest competition is from other wingnut shows for getting affiliates. He's crashing into a petty little circle as well...hosts who see Miller as an outsider and threat to their egos and livelihoods.

Already he's having problems getting affiliates and good air times. He'll have a tough time growing and getting on better stations. I predicted this several years ago when he had his really lame CNBC show...I gave him 5 years to oblivion...with a radio show as the final step into the abyss.
