Fuck no. The Republicans will never let it happen.

Will sick infected people be allowed to access health care? No Way... that would be Socialism.

it represents a pandemic-level threat on an immediate basis.

It is possible that an extreme, emergency-level response will be required, but that is not the current circumstance. There have been other influenza warnings which warranted public alert and concern but which did not rise to emergency levels. Contagion levels can plateau at a moderate rate and then the threat can recede fairly quickly and very manageably.

Until circumstances change in this present case, there is no emergency.

The Republicans will not be in charge of it even if there IS an emergency.
