The Bo file: The new dog house at the White House may be occupied by what has been described as a dog rescued from an unhappy first home in March, but Sneed hears U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy had always planned for the Obamas to have the Portuguese water dog.

• • The conclusion? The cryptic phrase led the Sneed tipster to believe a pup had already been picked. Reports now claim the pup landed with the Obamas after it was removed from another family, because it didn't get along well with an older family dog.
