5. I proudly trumpeted how many facials are going on in this country...

To be honest, I didn't know what the term meant until I saw the references made to the original story on DU. I wound up asking a co-worker, and still can't look her in the eyes without her turning red and busting out laughing.

Ya gotta realize, there's a LOT of people out there in Real World Land (myself included) who simply don't keep up with the latest colloquialisms; who in fact, don't really care about it one way or the other.

Case in point--I design a minimum of five to six print ads a week for beauty salons who are all advertising facials. Imagine the horror I felt when I left the monthly budget meeting some weeks ago after having proudly trumpeted how many facials are going on in this country that my department is advertising for all the world to see and after a co-worker told me what "facials" mean in world of the Young, Hip, and Trendy.

when I first got on the internet and read about internet pranks, like tinfoiling a cubicle.... someone also mentioned teabagging someone's mouse and keyboard. I thought it was stupid, but I still remember it! LOL
