President Obama, Lead Us, Tell Us How We Can Help

In your campaign, you said that you couldn't make change happen without our help.

Well, it's been 60 days now and we haven't heard you say what you need us to do. We have been, some of us, patiently waiting but there are a great many of us getting very nervous and feeling frustrated.

We know you are busy, but don't you think you ought to take some time and tell we, the people, just what we can do?

The jerk in office before you, at a crucial moment in history, told us to go shopping. There is precedent for informing the people on what they can do to make change happen, so don't feel that it would be out of place to do so.

Just do it! Now more than ever, we need your leadership. It is why we elected you.

But then, I never let my expectations get too far ahead of reality.

And the reality is that it is the people who will make things happen. And that we are failing to make things happen.

We need some leadership. There is nothing to fear, but fear itself, but it seems we fear ourselves. Good leadership can get rid of some of that fear. Congress isn't gonna do it. Obama is the last great hope we have. He needs to deliver, now.

7. The numbers don't agree with your

five years of growth. Someone posted a graph here that showed real growth was in the negatives. The numbers were from refis and other cashouts of equity while wages remained stagnant.

But the JERK lowered taxes on the richest and transferred the burden on to the poorest, and since then you have gotten poorer, just like the JERK planned.

In the last 8 years state and local taxes have shot up, due to the JERK's transfer of burden from the rich to the poor.

The debt that the JERK increased more than even Reagan did - after Clinton brought it down a bit - guarantees your children will pay more taxes. Had we stayed the Clinton course, your taxes would have stabilized, but the JERK fucked you over.

6. President Obama was asked about 'sacrifice' recently. He

did say that more than enough people were sacrificing by getting pink slips and losing their homes. What exactly do you want to do? He's also developed a policy to help...The Serve America Act...

8. Obviously you haven't been listening. Obama has called on Americans to help and serve many times

since he has become president. He has asked us to serve our communities and to help those less fortunate than us. I've been one of those who have answered his call by volunterring at a food pantry and I know several others who told me they were in part motivated by Obama.

We need specifics. I have been 'helping and serving' but I look around and what do I see? Floundering. There is no direction. The masses are floundering and have taken to fighting amongst themselves and the only change we see is that the future looks bleaker than it did 60 days ago.

Obama needs to lead. He needs to tell us what he specifically needs us to do.

become president I see a leader. I don't know what exactly you want him to do? Do you want him to tell you how to spend that extra $20 you have or what? He has addressed many times what the people can do to help there community. He has set up many programs that he believes will help get the country out of this.
