You just can't make this shit up anymore!

SNIP
From the day the founding Fathers risked their liberty and life by signing the Declaration of Independence, there has been those who have wanted to sink this great ship called the United States of America. Well 143 years later the good ship America took a torpedo hit that at the time seemed like just another glancing blow. What many still consider the greatest step forward in equality for the sexes, was more then just a glancing blow however. It was in fact a deadly strike that entered the very heart of the ship and has been smoldering since. The damage caused by the 19th amendment was slow in its destruction, but after almost 100 years we can now see how complete the destruction really was.

The result of the 19th amendment has been the ascension to power by the same kind of Marxists Ronald Reagen defeated from the Soviet Union. The weapon of destruction was not a nuclear warhead though, it was an emotional outburst that melted the brains of logic.

Almost all important issues today come down to an argument between an emotional feeling and a logical thought. When you raise a child it is logical to slap their hands or spank their behind when they do bad things. It is the interference of emotional feelings that allows laws to be passed that condemn that kind of love as child abuse.

I am not advocating that women should be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen. I am also not suggesting that the 19th amendment would, should, or ever could be reversed. It would be easier to hold back the rising waters of the Red River in North Dakota then to reverse any amendment to the constitution. However, before before the 19th amendment was passed women could and did influence men on how to vote, case in point is the 19th amendment. I also realize that there are many men who think more emotionally then some women do, just compare Barney Frank to Ann Coulter.

1. As if that blog wasn't sad enough, the self loathing women
agreeing with him are sad beyond belief.

5. They're not self-loathing. They put OTHER women down to advance themselves.
They are always the exception to whatever their rule is about women.

2. This is poorly parsed nonsense. An emotional appeal against emotional decision making.

4. Oh this meme has been around the crazy wingnut set for a while
Their stereotyped descriptions of women make it obvious that they don't know any in real life.

6. This "logic versus emotion" argument really peeves me.
Hell, I've heard that we didn't give prohibition a good chance, this is nothing new.

But the underlying argument here is that, in some bizzaro Ayn Randian dimension, conservatives and even libertarians have a more reasoned, logical approach to politics.

9. Reasoned and logical, and arriving at the wrong conclusions
because they are starting from incorrect assumptions or just outright lies. RWers seem to assume I want to debate or argue points with them, when I don't want to hear their shit at all. They are offensive to me, and I have been offended enough by their craziness and don't want any more.
They can be as logical as they want, they won't change my opinions.

10. I wouldn't call this resonable or logical, nor would...
I consider many rightwing arguments even close to rational.

They all attempt to justify a conclusion already accepted. In this case, they prefer women who don't get in the way, personally, professionally, or politically. Having women publicly participate adds a measure of confusion they don't like. Besides, women "aren't suited for that sort of thing."

And then they proceed to justify this attitude.

(Not that we're above justifying some of our own attitudes, either. Just that we don't seem to do it as much, and our attitudes usually aren't quite as slimy.)

8. I just wish these idiots would learn how to write
If they're going to publicize their opinions, they could at least get the grammar right. (Please, fuckhead, learn the difference between 'than' and 'then', I'm begging you.)

I know a bunch of people here are going to make jokes about this but it's getting damn scary to be a woman knowing that these idiots are out there in growing numbers.
