a matter of opinion . . . everyone, after all, is an asshole to someone . . . but I digress . . .

despite my lack of interloper credentials, I believe that I am not alone in trying to determine just exactly what "Barack Hussein Obama is the President of the United States" actually means . . . yeah, I know he's our first black president, and several levels of magnitude better than his predecessor in so many ways . . . still, I'm having trouble decifering just what his election means in terms of the issues that most concern me -- the war, the economy, healthcare, and the environment . . . I'm pretty sure he's doing okay on the latter -- it's the first three that are giving me pause . . . particularly the second (the economy) . . .

from what I can see, what Obama is doing vis-a-vis the economy isn't a whole lot different than what George W. Bush was doing . . . I'm no economist, but I think I have enough common sense to know that funneling hundreds of billions of dollars to the very people who caused this crisis in the vain hope that they will somehow solve it is, well, madness . . . yet the Obama administration persists in doing just that . . .

guess I'll just sit back, watch, and wait for the results to become apparent . . . I fear, however, that not much will change, except that we'll be in a deficit hole even larger than Bush's, and with a whole lot of newly printed money on the streets ready to add mega-inflation to our list of woes . . . hope I'm wrong, of course, but I just can't figure out what in the hell Obama is thinking . . . can anyone else? . . .
