1. First, try using iTunes
Click on Radio. Under the category Talk/Spoken Word, there should be a listing for Air America. Sometimes it doesn't work, but that's what I'd try first.

2. Look for iTunes
you may also be able to go to the AAR site and get the file to stream from their station.

5. Air america does a bad job with its iTunes link
70% of the time it won't play.

6. I like Flip4Mac WMV....
It converts WMV files into QuikTime apps. I just click on the WMV stream option through my browser and Flip4Mac converts the streaming file via the browser window. You can find it at flip4mac.com...

You can also use RealMedia but I occassionally have more trouble with RM than Flip4Mac WMV...

8. Flip4Mac is the way to go ultimately
If the OP wants to listen now real is the way to go for now
until she is up on her new OS. Flip4Mac takes just a little click in systems preference to enable it.

10. Don't you have to pay for flip4mac?
When I had a PC I could stream live for free.

11. Realplayer works best for me - too much buffering
activity in Windows media player and Itunes on my G4.

I use this site provided by another DUer a long time ago. It has links to the various players to download at the bottom.

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/Air_America/Radio.html

Then click on Real Media "Air America" button - it will download the contact link - double click on that and away you go.

16. Try some of the links on my page

In the above post and on the left side of the page.

These are updated listening links, as AAR recently switched streaming hosts.

18. I listen to AAR via the Nova M Radio network through iTunes
http://www.novamradio.com/

You can play thousands of radio stations with iTunes, not just the ones listed under "Radio." You can open up a stream under "Advanced" in the top menu.
