NOW is the PERFECT time to DEMAND Single Payer HealthCare !
The average American is already pissed to the max at the Fat Cats.
NOW is the time to put together photos of the CEOs and Top Execs of the Health Insurance Corps and HMOs along with the salaries they are drawing down, and remind America that WE are paying THEIR salaries and buying THEIR Mansions and Private Jets with our Insurance Premiums.

Tie the Health Insurance Execs to the Wall Street Bankers and Single Payer is a Done Deal.

Isn't AIG an "Insurance Company" ?

2. Yes. This would be the best time to push for it. One can only hope
that Insurance Co lobbying and big Pharma lobbying cannot overcome the public outcry.

Call YOUR Senator and ask them to co-sponsor.
If they say NO, ask them "Why Not".

Polls say that Americans are READY for Single Payer.
Only our government is blocking it.

38 out of 39 Industrialized Nations have some form of government gauranteed HelathCare.
It is NOT "too hard" for America.
We don't have to settle for less.

Mandatory For Profit Health Insurance is NOT Helath Care.
It is a Republican SCAM to funnel tax money into the pockets of the BIG CORPORATIONS.

degree turn now that he is President.

Too many broken promises this early is not good.

16. Not sure, but we did the things he said we needed to do...
took the WH, Senate and House. I did not hear him mention at that time "everybody pays a lot of taxes into the health care system..."

Now we need someone to educate and sell this to the people...President Obama???

13. How much are you willing to pay for single payer healthcare?
Does anyone know the percent of income that is taken out for programs in other countries? I know as a small business employer I pay between 30-40% on top of salaries for benefits ie health insurance and disability. I know I would hate to pay 30% of my income for my health insurance instead of my employer paying for it.

18. I doubt it would be as high as 30%
To begin with, a single payer system would immediately save the hundreds of millions of dollars paid in commissions to insurance brokers every single month.

With the risk were spread over the entire population, the cost should also come down. Your 30-40% is spread over a small group and you're no doubt paying more for each employee than what they would cost a large employer with our current system.

21. If your employer didn't have to pay it....
...he could pass the savings along to you.

With a Single Payer system, the US Automakers could immediately knock off $1500+ from the price of an American Made Car.

25. Awfully sad to see that Obama's one of the ones spreading that propaganda, though
I can't believe he's dumb enough to be fooled, so why is he on that bandwagon?

In other words, who's he really working for?

24. If someone had the big bux,
I'd love to see a commercial run for single-payer, with an actor playing a health insurance company fatcat CEO, lighting cigars with (fake) $100 bills, and laughing uproariously while he takes a large rubber stamp and stamps "DENIED" on health insurance claims.
