Tim Giethner may have known about bonuses all along ..

<snip>

We’re back live now, and Representative Ed Royce from California is zeroing in on conversations Mr. Liddy had with Mr. Geithner, the secretary of the Treasury, and again, asking what everyone wants to know: When did the White House, the Treasury Department, and other officials learn about the bonus packages.

Mr. Liddy, who earlier had indicated that the Federal Reserve was involved as long ago as November , recalled having two conversations with Mr. Geithner about a week or so ago, within a day of so of each other. He called their talks a “healthy exchange,” with Mr. Geithner relating how rough this would be for the American public to swallow. At the urging of lawmakers, Mr. Liddy promised to furnish more details about those contacts.

<snip>

This is getting interesting

1. We've all known about the bonuses for months now.
This is a retread of an old issue.

2. Geithner needs to go.
Should have never put a Federal Reserve flunkie in the job to begin with. Shitcan him and Summers and bring in Robert Reich.

5. I'm beginning to believe that it would be best for the country and Obama if Geithner resigns
of course then the media would begin to say the administration is in disaray, but I'm willing to take short term bad publicity than to keep an incompetent in this job.

8. he needs to go because he landed this pile of poo onto Obama's
momentum. He also showed that he's working for them, not us.
