Bush spoke to cattle ranchers today and - after thanking them for growing good beef - took the opportunity to attack Democrats who attached a troop withdrawal plan to the war supplemental bill he wanted. Bush hissed: "If Congress fails to pass a bill to fund our troops on the front lines, the American people will know who to hold responsible." He then threatened: "If we cannot muster the resolve to defeat this evil in Iraq, America will have lost its moral purpose in the world and we will endanger our citizens. If we leave Iraq before the job is done, the enemy will follow us here."

Pssst, Monkey Man - it wasn't the Democrats who ignored pre-9/11 intelligence about Osama's determination to strike within the U.S., resulting in the death of 3,000 citizens. And it wasn't the Democrats who lied the nation into a bloody and disastrous illegal war in Iraq, which has morphed into an unwinable civil war. And it wasn't the Democrats who sent the Iraqi military home and gave weapons to the insurgents which would then be used against our own troops. And it wasn't the Democrats who sent troops into battle without proper equipment or training and who keeps redeploying injured troops back into Iraq over and over and over.

Let Bush rattle his sharp little pen, who cares? Its his own supplemental war funding bill he's threatening to veto. So what's the worst that can happen, there's not enough money to continue the slaughter and the troops come home?

Ooooh . . . . I'm scared. Don't throw me in that brier patch!

We missed you last night! How are you doing?
We're all ok. We got the results of Skid's urine culture and he has a bacterial urinary tract infection. I have to give him anti-biotics for a month and then take him back for another urine culture. Fortunately the medicine is a liquid. He's not a happy camper and he hates me after I give it to him.

Huge hugs to her. :hug: Skid hid under the bed most of the morning after I gave him his medicine. After work, I stopped at the store to get some treats. I wanted to get baby food, but they didn't have any; I just bought regular kitty treats. Tonight it went a little better, I gave him a few treats before and after the dose and this time he didn't run and hide.

Yes, little Sesame is going to have a difficult life, but hopefully whatever we do it will be comfortable for her. She's not even 2 yet, but she must be an "old soul" of a kitty. I'll take good care of her.

the TVs in the house and the cable box, which is linked to the router, which I think has poor distance for this laptop. Anyway, I have to unscrew the "In" and rescrew it back to make sure it is set properly or our internet service gets spotty from a bad connection. here in my part of SE TN for years. While I've been doing my yardwork I've noticed that in the past 4-5 days I can feel the pollen on my teeth! My car is in the garage with the doors closed and it is yellow, the porch floor is covered!!!

Soon we will do round 1 of scrubbing down the porch, etc. to get rid of some of it. I'm glad I'm not one of the many people around me who have allergy problems cause it makes me cough, etc.
