Poll question: would impeachment for Gonzogate alone be enough?
With Gonzogate and this GSA business, and the media actually covering it, would it be enough to see Bush removed for this instead of his other crimes?

1. Someone explain to me how Gonzogate, Bush broke the law?
there's a whole host of things to impeach for that were illegal, treasonous etc. that clearly go to Bush.

The idiot Congress gave Bush the power yank the attorney at a whim without congressional oversight..........so far I'm not aware of any actual CRIMES being committed. (scumbaggery yes, crimes no)

2. Firing U.S. attorneys is legal, EXCEPT...
when you fire a U.S. Attorney specifically for the purpose of throwing a monkey wrench into a criminal investigation. Specifically, Lam was fired because her investigations resulted in the imprisonment of Duke Cunningham, and were continuing. Those investigations would have likely implicated Cheney and Rove in Hooker-gate.

Similarly it's illegal to influence U.S. attorneys to affect criminal investigations. When Domenici and Wilson called Iglesias and pressured him to file election fraud charges on Democrats just in time for the election, they broke the law in a big way.

4. "Obstruction of Justice" by the President and Department of Justice

is the concern. If a US attorney is ousted to influence a political case, or to punish them for not conforming to political interventions, that is a crime. Simple enough. Good GOP talking point there. Sent it to [email protected]!
