Edited on Mon Mar-09-09 06:51 PM by yourout
I have head alot of discussion that they were likely to go bankrupt and I am holding off renewing my contract until I am a little more sure they will be around for a while.

1. In any event, I'm digging "Elvis Radio"- channel 18- as we speak.
Been jamming out to the King for about 6 hours straight, in fact.

4. I love it too
but also the Sinatra station... and E Street Radio.

But I'm thinking of cancelling my contract also to save some money. It isn't that much but.... but cutting out all these "little" expenses will add up to a substantial amount.

That said, I sure don't want to give up my Bob Edwards in the morning so maybe I won't cancel. Decisions!

2. They just got a wad of cash from an investment house
I'd feel comfortable with a three month payment. 12 months, maybe not.

11. Thanks - I'm a dialupper.
Funny thing is, I used to be able to listen to radio on a dialup connection back in the 90's. I guess that's before they "improved" things....

9. Don't renew unless you are willing to throw your money away
There is a reason Sirius stock is 14 cents a share. They have hundreds of millions in debt coming due later this year.

12. Last I heard DIrectTV will end up w/ them which ...
...makes sense given former cable TV titan John Malone's investment in DTV. I'm pondering whether to renew too. I like jazz and have been disappointed at how the XM programming knocked off a lot of the Sirius jazz. Some survives, but not much.
