Wasn't there this whole little you know scandal thingy about how the DOJ had been politicized, including and most poignantly, the career prosecutors?

So doesn't that sound like a bad idea in light of that? Or is it just me with the common sense here?

2. I don't think that politicians doing it is any better, however...
because I think it would end up like the 9/11 Commission.

I'm going to do another OP with my proposal, which is incredibly reasonable, IMHO.

4. I want a special prosecutor personally
maybe David Iglesias or I just read a suggestion of Archibald Cox (although he is rather elderly and this would be a strenuous battle.) Morangtheou(sp?) just retired in New York. He would be dynamite.

I agree that a commission that might promise immunity is horrible. Maybe immunity to some underling little toady, but immunity to KKKRove, or any of the inner circle of criminals? NO.

3. I think Archibald Cox should make a come-back...
from the grave. I don't know how fair he actually was, but he sure came off good in the book.
