So I got a call from Malloy last night...

I like Mike very much. He is honest, kind, and very down-to-earth. We always have good conversations.

He is scrambling to get on the air live tonight, because his network is dead. Nova M, his syndicator, melted down in the Randi Rhodes saga. An LLC called On Second Thought took over...now THEY are dead. Malloy is going to run his own show, to self syndicate. He will always have a home on the Green 960 lineup, as long as I have anything to say about it. He's so good, and his fans are not really fans; they are worshippers!

If you like him, we're going to tell you how to keep him on the free airwaves, and it won't hurt at all. Coming soon.

1. I love Malloy, so this shouldn't be taken the wrong way, but...

I wonder if we'll see the hoards who claim that Mike was responsible for the tanking of OST, the same way sooooo many were so quick to blame Randi for the tanking of Nova M

Please note well: I AM NOT saying that either Mike or Randi were responsible in either case, just pointing out something

edit to further clarify: maybe the headline should be "On Second Thought fails WITHOUT help from Randi!!"

5. i love Malloy

Unfortunately, i can't listen to him before i go to bed because i get so upset. But i strongly support him and Kathy.

If there is something we can do to get Mike on radio stations, please let us know. Here in Baltimore, we don't have a liberal talk radio. Just the usual right wing crap and sports talk. But i'll keep looking out for a station, and put in a good word for Mike (and Thom, and Ed, and Stephanie ...)

I hope that wherever/however he lands, he starts giving away podcasts. I'm not paying for anymore "founders clubs" or other jolly efforts of raising capital for pigs that cant last long enough to spend it. On Second Thought???? I missed that entire incarnation on the radio.

8. I'm still waiting for the damn $10,000 prize drawing...

I think I was one of the first 100 "Founding" members, and not only did I have no expectation of winning the $10,000 drawing, but it irked me that they thought they had to do it in the first place.

So time passed and they constantly posted it on the website, never posting a TIME WHEN the 'drawing' would take place, but now that things are different, I wonder what happened?

Honestly, isn't there a law or something about them HAVING to give the money away? Can a business really offer something like that and just FORGET about it?

of course, I wish I had HALF the money that I've expected from unfulfilled REBATES through the years...

It went to a guy in Southern CA who had been laid off and close to going under. He called Malloy to say how it "had saved his life."
