Banking bailout question

Is the U.S. the only country putting up the cash to bail out the banks? These are global companies, yes? There are foreign stockholders, borrowers, and lenders involved. Are Euro banks having the same problems and getting bailed by their governments?

There some underlying issues with this as well:

- Some of these countries' banks have combines values higher than the GNP of their respective countries. IIRC, UBS and Credit Suisse have a combined value 7x the Swiss GNP

- The fact that no one country has the authority to print Euros makes it a consensus decision to increase the monetary supply and some countries, those that are relatively unscathes by this, will not support that behavior.
