If you oppose the Stimulus Bill stay off of these roads

I think we should post this as a public service for all of the 'I, Me, My' crowd who don't believe in the Stimulus Bill so they know which projects to boycott. I also expect them to take their kids out of public schools and when they get sick they need to stay out of our hospitals.



$50 million goes to local transportation today

The Mid-America Regional Council today will parcel out roughly $50 million in stimulus money to local governments for transportation needs.

in MO and AZ, at least.

That's right, subscription. The knock on your door after you move into one of these towns isn't the Welcome Wagon. It's the fire department, asking if you would like to sign up (for a hefty fee, of course).

And if you don't? They apparently really will just sit there and watch your house burn down. No word on what happens if the embers catch your neighbor's house on fire, or the whole mother-hugging block, for that matter. :eyes:

As it was passed, I oppose the bailout bill...expressly BECAUSE it doesn't include enough infrastructure or other real stimulus spending.

10. You can be against something but still have to pay for it

Not so much the stimulus but if I have to pay taxes to support the government, even if the government doesn't do something I agree with, I am still entitled to benefit from those services/projects. If I'm being forced to pay for something I don't support why would I not use it if I needed to.
