White Supremacists threaten to leave Republican Party over Michael Steele
It’s not easy being a white supremacist these days.

Already reeling from Obama’s win in November, believers in white superiority were dealt another blow last week when former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele became the first African-American to head the Republican Party.

Extremists view Steele’s election to the helm of the Republican National Committee as a betrayal by the party that many considered, in their words, “the lesser of two evils.” On blogs and online forums, they excoriated the Republican Party for supposedly pandering to minorities while abandoning what they see as its white base.

“GOP traitors appoint Obama Junior as Chairman of the Republican Party” - David Duke, ex-Klan boss and former Louisiana state legislator.

“GOP continues shooting bullets into it’s (sic) own corpse” - Council of Conservative Citizens

“RNC to White Men: — Off” - Vdare.com

“Now they’ve got a black man heading up their party, just like the Democrats do, and the GOP couldn’t be happier. It simply wouldn’t do to have a white chairman. Not with a black man in the White House heading up the Democrats.” - James Edwards, host of the Political Cesspool

“New GOP chair to Southerners and conservatives: drop dead” - League of the South

Who knew that the Republican Party had so many racists in it, right?

:sarcasm:

5. I think they're right
They should rise up in rightous indignation and take their party back. How could a Negro lead the Party of the White Man? David Duke is much more representative of the average republican then Michael Steele. Or maybe that wonderful christian and good friend of Duke Tony Perkins. Yo go Boys, fuck that inclusion shit.

9. That swirling sound
is the Republican party, heading rapidly to the Schwarzschild Radius of Political history.
Devoid of its racists, and with the economy proving supply side econ and the free market are fantasy creations
of the right, what is left but snake handlers and anti-communists?

11. Republicans should say "buh bye losers". They used to feel too idealistic
to belong to any political party because at one time they didn't recognize our government as legitimate. It was much nicer then when they didn't bother to vote for the lunatic fringe Republicans who appeal to them.

We'd be doing the Republican Party a huge favor, y'know - helping them filter out the dregs.

20. I think so. If they want to claim to be the "party of Lincoln"....
then they should actually act like the party of Lincoln.

23. So Fucking What?
The only good thing about it is I am sure that these people and their sympathizers make up a hefty portion of the audience for Rush and Lou Dobbs. Oh my, what will Rush do if the racists turn against the GOP?

Instead of starting a new party, why don't you guys go colonize your own PLANET. Think of it.... Planet White and Conservative! Rush could be your supreme ruler. Everyone would be happy...especially the rest of us! (But then who would they hate?)
