Sheep-sex for Republicans now less awkward: Scientists create a sheep that's 15% human.

Scientists have created the world's first human-sheep chimera - which has the body of a sheep and half-human organs.

The sheep have 15 per cent human cells and 85 per cent animal cells - and their evolution brings the prospect of animal organs being transplanted into humans one step closer.

Professor Esmail Zanjani, of the University of Nevada, has spent seven years and £5million perfecting the technique, which involves injecting adult human cells into a sheep's foetus.

He has already created a sheep liver which has a large proportion of human cells and eventually hopes to precisely match a sheep to a transplant patient, using their own stem cells to create their own flock of sheep.

<snip>

Animal rights activists fear that if the cells get mixed together, they could end up with cellular fusion, creating a hybrid which would have the features and characteristics of both man and sheep. But Prof Zanjani said: "Transplanting the cells into foetal sheep at this early stage does not result in fusion at all."

3. There are many ethical questions involved here, even if you aren't the Chimp.

8. Maybe that's the solution to finding the next Republican candidate
Make a human with 15% chimp genes and he'll surely win the overwhelming support of the wingnut base.

18. It's ok...the sheeple don't get it.
Besides, they're just like Al Qaida...they already think we (all Democrats) are "the devil".

So, since we already have to do the time, we might as well do the crime!

2. Huh
"Animal rights activists fear that if the cells get mixed together, they could end up with cellular fusion, creating a hybrid which would have the features and characteristics of both man and sheep."

I thought that had already happened. We call them Republicans.

12. I won't swear to this, because I'm not a doctor or scientist
But I have been told several times by those that should know that sheep are the only animal that can become pregnant by man.(shepherds lived with the flocks and got lonely you know) They said that the fetus, or whatever it is in this instant, is miscarried in the early stages.

This new type of animal raises the question that if this is true and you have someone curious enough to find out, what would happen if one of these sheep is made pregnant by a man. Could it carry the fetus full term and what would be the results? Impossible? Crazy enough to be a "what if".  :tinfoilhat:  :scared:

13. Why do Republicans wear such big boots?
Room in there for the sheep's hind legs as well!

Why do Republicans screw sheep while facing the edge of a cliff?

So the sheep pushes back!

Thank you, thank you, the ribeye is great tonight, and don't forget to tip your server!
